    I haven't figured out how to kick in Gi pants without it hindering my flexibility yet.

    check out your crotch area of your gi pants.
    probably judo pants so doubly stitched and not designed for ultra flexibilty.
    no headkick in gi pants but you should be able to do some lowkicks roundhouses.

    Hehe, exactly. I like shorts way more as well. The old gi-pants were of such a quality that they really kept one warm, even outside...

    Aaaah, the good old days before the Great Chunnery...
