    Judo, Tomiki Aikido, ??

    Shiya-Do Karate anyone?

    received an event post from a group in Brooklyn earlier today that is holding a Self-Defense Seminar for Women. I'm always a bit dubious on these kind of events as I do not see much value in one-off sessions and rarely are the folks doing these seminar teaching anything usable. Anyway I decided to track down the fellow who is teaching the seminar to


    Since I am unfamiliar with Shiya-Do Karate I kept looking and found this further up that food chain:


    Before looking into things further I wanted to check in to see if anyone is familiar with these individuals or this style and if so what comments, if any, they have.

    At least he isn't a judan soke.

    It look like it came from KK and just added a bunch of other stuff in there.

    As for the "thinking" part. Isn't the hold idea of practising martial art to NOT have to think about it?
