    How do you work out and gain strength but not a lot of muscle mass?

    maybe you should quit your whining and pump some iron, girlie man. gaining hardcore mass is more difficult than you think.

    Just finished my last set of curls. By the way, I said how do you gain strength and NOT muscle mass.

    you're gonna gaing some anyway, thats unavoidable.

    IIRC, its high weight low reps. high reps lower weight adds mass more. BTW... Do A SEARCH, its been discussed before.

    Do you want to demonstrate strength within the confines of a particular lift (or lifts)? Or do you want strength which applies to any venue? If the latter, Pizdoff has it right.

    This can be very confusing. I've often heard high weight, low reps is the way to get big.

    I guess you have to determine what is "high". If you are using a weight that allows you to do 20 reps, your basiclaly working endurance and you're not going to get any big. 5-12 reps you are working both size and strenght. Lower that that you're training like a power lifter and your primarily focusing on strength.
