    Art of War 12 held under patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed

    BEIJING, CHINA (April 12, 2009) -- Under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, the Art of War Fighting Championship 12, “Invincible” proudly returns to Beijing on May 23, 2009 at the National Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium.

    His Highness Sheikh Mohammed will be inviting the world’s top MMA competitors, famous movie and television personalities, and leading sports and broadcasting industry leaders from around the world to be his honored guests at the event. In addition, a delegation of over 300 students, athletes, press representatives and martial arts fans from the United Arab Emirates will also be in attendance.

    Special VIP guests confirmed to attend include Rickson Gracie, Royce Gracie, Renzo Gracie, Royler Gracie, Damian Maia, Fabricio Werdum, Ricardo Libirio, Bas Rutten, Josh Barnett, Renato “Babalu” Sobral, Tim Sylvia, Jeremy Horn, Yuji Shimada, Big John McCarthy, Stephen Quadros, and Michael Buffer. Art of War FC 12 “Invincible” will feature rising Chinese superstar, Wu Hao Tian in the main event against up-and-coming Japanese fighter, Yutaka Kobayashi. Returning to the Art of War ring will be Malik Mawlayi of Sweden versus Fransino Tirta of Indonesia. The night will be rounded out by other emerging MMA talent from around Asia and the rest of the world.

    That's actually pretty cool. Is wrestling culture in the UAE as big as it is in(for example) Iran? I know judo is supposed to be pretty big out there.
