I just sent an email to http://newbreedchicago.com/nbv4/contact.html

I'm hoping they'll let us have one during their open mat (every saturday 11am-1pm). The last one was there so I think it should be okay. The owner (mark rivas) was really chill/nice about it.

If not, I will talk to my kickboxing instructor about letting us use the dojo on jan2. I'm fairly certain he would be okay with it.

It looks like it's going to be Jan2, or Jan3. Can you guys make it?

No way I can get off work that soon. Dang.

Next time let's try to plan this more in advance?

Well, that or I can get off my ass and try for a something here in Milwaukee.

Hey guys, just got an email back.

Basically to use New breeds mat.. we would all have to..

Pay Mat fee (not sure how much atm)
Sign waivers for both injury and being liable for any damage during our time there
Show proof of personal insurance in event of sustained injury.

I would personally much rather have it at newbreed than my kickboxing place in park ridge. The mats+ set up seem like they would be much more conductive to MMA type sparring.

Unless anyone has any other ideas? There's gotta be more chicago bullies out there, anyone?

As far as the waiver you may have to have a parent/guardian sign.

Personal insurance, I think he would just want a card showing that you have medical insurance.

Well newbreed still hasn't replied so I'm guessing he really doesn't want it to go down there. Which is fine. I was going to ask my kickboxing instructor today, but I'm not going today so i guess it'll have to wait until friday.

Look friday night for confirmation, I'll post up. Anyone else planning on coming? imho, if it's only me + shining it's not really worth it(not much of a throwdown.)

but you would be more than welcome to come to class friday night, I'd be glad to move around with you then
