    Sweeps?

I know one where if you have an opponent in yoru guard, you bring your knee across their chest, while your other leg is by your opponents base. You then bring him forward so he's off balance and 'scissor' and your in mount.

I also know one where you get your opponent in your guard, you put one heel on their hip, the other by their legs/base, break their balance and reverse position and your in mount.

Anything else i can do with video?

Also, im clueless for half guard. If i escape half guard, usually it's when someone tries to pass it, and i can then pull guard. But i have never really reveresed it in sparring. A while a go I remember drilling it, but have forgotten.

Please help a sad newbie, please.

This may sound odd especially from a guy with Judo in his style field, but maybe you should try to take a month of BJJ/subgrappling classes.

How prickly are BJJ instructors for students (generally) who come buy for a temporary basis?

Most are pretty cool from what I have seen . Most just smile when you leave , because they know you will hit a brick wall in your growth and be back some time later .
I don't mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out.
