    The Official Krav

Can someone please give me the proverbial skinny on the issue of "who teaches the official Krav Maga? Are there different styles? Different governing bodies? What is preventing them from being united as one body?

    Have you tried Google ?

As far as I know we don't have many Krav Maga specialists here ... and for that matter most Krav Maga is taught as a "self defense" class at schools who learning towards the McDojo/Bulldhido way of doing things , so ... ummm ... good luck in your search and welcome to Bullshido .

    Spoiler:

Krav Maga looks good next to most kempo and TKD becouse the do some grappling and are slightly less compliant (most the time) . Think of it as a , middle eastern Hapkido .

I don't mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out.

You can't make people smarter. You can expose them to information, but your responsibility stops there.

Did you search the site? One of the FAQs has a section specifically on Krav. Can't think which one right now, hence suggesting you use the search function.

    Israeli army?
    sounds about right.

    Greed maybe?
    sounds about right as well.

there was some trademarking dispute involving Krav Maga in the US, with whoever runs the los angeles KM facility (that Bas trains at occasionally) filing suit to copyright the name Krav.

Apparently a good business move as they've made bank off of selling instructors licenses at weekend seminars and making **** every gym an affiliate, for a price.
