Honestly? The opposite of Bullshido would be Aliveness, pure and simple.

But saying that Aliveness will let you catch bullets in your teeth would be Bullshido.

apparently some styles are more bullshido prone than others. Does that mean it's the fault of the style or the practitioners? Are some arts really so bullshido contaminated that it's impossible to do any "legitimate" MA?

So is the bullshido tag attached to styles or just to some people teaching it?

what's an example of a style that's hopelessly bullshido and a style that is hardly every bullshido?

Well for arguments sake lets take my favorite topic for example....Ke?po. Now the biggest flaw in modern Ke?po is the fact that nearly every damned technique was created and based off of a static opponent. The running joke is that Ke?poists excel at beating up one armed drunks. Now does this mean that every theory in Kempo is flawed? Does this mean that the style contains no legitimate concepts or techniques? I'd say no (though others will argue with me here), but with aliveness the BS is quickly sorted out from the practical.

Aliveness, Bushido, legitimate skill, integrity, all of those sorts of things.

Sincerity (with oneself and with the others) is the anti-bullshido.
