    I'm waiting for someone to chime in and say that doing this teaches important concepts and priciples. Maybe by finding a photo of a muay thai fighter who happens to be on one leg at the time as proof.

    why so many gis and belts in a kung fu thread? tell me they don't all train like that.

    I'm waiting for someone to chime in and say that doing this teaches important concepts and priciples. Maybe by finding a photo of a muay thai fighter who happens to be on one leg at the time as proof.
    balance is an important concept/principle. thinking it teaches much more than that IS a disaster.

    we don't all train like that.

    I wish I could rebuke the fact that some styles wear Gi's, just like some have belts, etc etc.



    Thats what we wore last year in sparring, of course, the forms guys usually put on the fancier duds, but I just needed a t-shirt and pants....
