Wow, I just noticed that it does have my name. I must be very unattentive when I'm at work. How long has it been like that?

My god, are some of you people that fucking computer illiterate.

Here's a hint, there's probably a variable in the code that displays guess what, that's right, your log in name.

The fact you people continually ponder this 8th wonder of the world is a testament to its effectiveness, and kudos to Phrost for finally finding an effective way to get people to read the stickies.

I use something similar in my AIM profile, followed by "is an ass."

I get a lot of random IMs from people I don't know, and now about half of them start off like "WTF??? Y U SAY IM An @$$????/////"

When I logged in the other day and saw Lucky Seven - Zero Idiot Tolerance I thought, ups, I did something stupider then usual, now I'm going to feel bullshidos wrath but after i actually re-read the sticky I knew it was probably something on the code to display everyone's name.

Why do some people think they are somwhat special ?

It's like the saying goes "Don't forget that you are unique and special, just like everybody else"

The book and the movie are basically the same thing. The only difference is the very end. However, the end of the book in the mental insitution was a sweet ending. I wish the movie ended like that.

The dialogue of a few characters is switched around in some scenes, but yeah, the film is an amazing adaptation. It has exactly the same feel as the book, and the inner monologue is done really well (unlike Dune's). I agree about the ending though, the book's is much better (why did they change it?).

But I don’t want to go back. Not yet.
    Just because.
Because every once in a while, somebody brings me my lunch tray and my meds and he has a black eye or his forehead is swollen with stitches, and he says:
    “We miss you Mr. Durden.”
Or somebody with a broken nose pushes a mop past me and whispers:
“Everything’s going according to the plan.
    Whispers
“We’re going to break up civilization so we can make something better out of the world.”
    Whispers
“We look forward to getting you back.”
    Spoiler:
Why do people really think I haven't seen it, everyone has seen Fight Club!

There are some subtle, but very important differences between the book and the movie. While the movie has a focus of liberating the world from consumerism (by means of something that wouldn't really accomplish much), the book has a different goal, which sort of escapes me now. Also, the characters have somewhat different personalities and different motivations. Marla is a rather different character in the book than the movie.
