yeah it smells like it ...its like when I was on the swim team " I train to swim by training not to swim"

so I might just have to check it out to be absolutley sure.
I remember reading an article in my ol' University's newspaper about their self defense crash course for co-eds. Reeks so hard! quotes like " he defended himself with a rolled up term paper it was amazing!" and me imagining a Rex-kwon-do scene ...."grab my other wrist...with your other hand....WHAP I break the grip with out using any effort." ....or whatever....I dunno take a look, send me a mission statement if you want .

Secret moves such as hitting a thing with your hand and hitting a thing with your leg have been stolen and degenerated by arts like karate, boxing, muay-thai, Kung-fu, and basketball. -Epicurious

I for one welcome our new Ninja overlords.

I figure fighting a group of chunners would be like water torture, its not the force as such, just the constant trickle of chain punches wearing down your sanity. -The Juggernoob

Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu was started in Indonesia but was brought to this country by an immigrant from the Philippines, Professor Florendo Visitacion, affectionately known as Professor “Vee,” who toned down the once illegal, lethal, martial art and began teaching it to Americans. Since his death several years ago, Visitacion’s only heirs are Professor-Soke Richard Petronelli and “Soke-Dai” (which means designated heir) Mark Bochner.

Nothing like coming right out and saying that what you're teaching is watered-down crap!!

I guess these guys follow the philosophy that street combat training is just like regular training, only you wear street clothes.

WTF?! Is this some kind of catch-phrase? The Shao-Choy-Hung school in that other thread said EXACTLY the same thing, pretty much verbatim. They can't be serious... oh the humanity!

They do get points for a semi-competently designed webpage and a unique domain name. Important for credibility. Well, what little they DO have.

Professor V actually has a quite a good reputation.

Well, he did. Passed a few back i believe.

as far as the watering down goes...

how many of you train in juDO, or aikiDO, or tiekwanDO?

or any other sport for that matter?

all of those arts are 'watered down'.

it is so EVERYBODY can play.

you guys should go and check em out and see if they suck.

tell em you want to stickfight.

Like others involved in the arts Marc does not exhibit what he knows. He pursues his study for self-satisfaction and not to fight. One of the basic rules in his martial arts education is to learn to end a fight in three second by taking control over the situation. In fact, Marc has never been in a fight.
Heh. Why am I not surprised?

Convincing disabled people that they can kick ass just because they have a belt is money-grubbing of the lowest kind.

And does this guy have any students that AREN'T little kids? Is there something we should know about this dude?

Gotta agree with IndoChinese on this one. Professor Vee was known a very knowledgable and humble man.
