    I've never owned a knife with a guthook, but, they look like they do come in handy.

    This is closer to what I like. At one point I had found some expensive (of course) fixed blade knives that I fell in love with. However, at the time, my Mora, at 15 bucks, was working just fine, and I had not dropped it into deep water in the river...



    Or I could go old-school...

    I'd probably slice my hand at some point, though...

    I've got a mora and so does each of my kids. I've abused that thing and it keeps on ticking. Pretty dang good knives.

    Yeah, LOL, I'm gonna have to order another one. The ergonomics of the handle is superb, for me at least.

    They hold an edge pretty well (I got stainless one).
