    Wrestling positions

I am a total newbie when it comes to wrestling, and since there are no gyms in my local area I thought I might come here. My question is: what are the basic standing positions in wrestling - like: "tie-up", "underhooks". Hope you understand me. If not feel free to ask

Do you have a wrestling partner? If not, penetration steps, sprawls, and footwork drills is about all you are going to be able to train. In which case, your distances are still going to be all jacked up. Like when you penetration step to a single or double, or even between the legs (I hate that one). You won't be able to do those on your own.

If you don't have a partner, you are better off taking up jogging.

If you have a partner I would suggest starting with this:
    https://www.teamusa.org/usa-wrestlin...ore-curriculum
    Core Curriculum - Team USA

That will have all the basics you really need to know in an orderly way to learn it and with practice schedules. After that all of the links above will help bulk out your core skills.
