    Back when I was doing Aikido the whole point was to guide the opponent's energy instead of resisting it. "Choosing not to fight" was just a lazy choice of words.
    By waiting for the other firm to disperse and then ambushing the leader instead of meeting them head on they displayed this principle perfectly.

    I think no dojo storming is necessary, as this is actually a confirmation of the underlying bullshido ethos: even a crap art like aikido can be made respectable if you involve enough willingness to engage in actual, practical, non-pretend violence.
