Before I'm accused of being a tool of the DNC and Hillary, I'd like to confess I was and am a Bernie supporter and helped run his temporary campaign office in Norwich Connecticut between February and April of 2016.

What do you think of the FBI investigation into bank fraud on his wife's part?

There is no evidence that that has happened in the past or that there are instances in which that will happen this time. And so I’d invite Mr. Trump to stop whinin’ and go try to make his case to get votes." -Barack Obama, October 18, 2016

    1) I think that any FBI criminal investigation into anyone is a serious matter, though its existence, by itself, does not establish her guilt.

    2) I do not know enough about the facts of what happened, to render an opinion as to whether she is guilty of a crime.

Here's a quick overview, with links to other outlets reporting on it.

I've read the article, the issue seems to be whether she falsely reported pledges, or the amount of pledges that were to be used, to support this purchase. The FBI will presumably interview the donors and find out what actually happened. I'll wait to see if there is a resulting indictment.

But since this a thread on Seth Rich's death, do you have any opinion on the paper that the Profiling Project did.

This is the one where the dead man's family begged Sean Hannity to shut the **** up, which he did for a while, before bringing it up again the other day and connecting imaginary dots to the DNC email theft (which I've found you can tie to everything from the Kennedy assassination to aliens).

Sean Hannity is just Alex Jones with a good chin, and better hair. He's been one of the worst conspiracy theory peddlers for over a decade, everything from birthers to AGW denial to Obama the Muslim Socialist Terrorist...I don't know what people find attractive about his style of reporting. Given his audience size, he's probably helped spread the fake news about Pizzagate and Seth's murder more than anybody else.

It's not even muck raking, it's just yellow slime.

Hannity starts talking about murdered DNC staffer again

Sean Hannity brings up Seth Rich again, alludes to DNC emails and suspicious murder

had implored Hannity to "stop politicizing their son's murder" in May. "Out of respect for the family's wishes for now, I am not discussing this matter at this time," Hannity said on May 23 during his Fox prime-time program.

Rich was shot and killed in July 2016 in Washington, D.C. His killer has not been found.

Hannity's comments come after a recent investigation by forensic psychology students and instructors concluded a serial killer is likely behind the murder of Rich.

    This is a great point.

I read the whole report. It's a horrendously irresponsible piece of work. Chuck's points are valid. In my decidedly non-expert opinion on this subject, I can safely say that this is an unscholarly work even to a layman.

My reasoning is simple: this "research" uses heavily biased and hyperbolic tone, use of memes (Denzel Washington, the use of CAPITALIZED WORDS FOR EMPHASIS, and especially the lean towards "disproving" the statements of the victim's family (this reeks of Sandy Hook Hoaxerism). The length and "detail" of the report is mostly filler, with little facts and quasifacts (sexual orientation? drink of choice??) embedded throughout.

It's telling that the Profiling Project claims to be volunteer current and former GWU forensic pschology grad students...I'll willing to bet none of them have real jobs in forensics, so they must have plenty of time to waste on Internet conspiracy theories.

The Appendix of the report actually contains this image, probably one of the most juvenile things I've even seen included in an allegedly "formal" study, especially one on such a sensitive, real-life subject.

Not to mention the line near the end "Game On!"

I was astonished that slipped through, I guess the adults were out of the room during the editing.
