I think free speech ought to end at advocating ethnic cleansing. Free speech has always had limits. It will always have limits. You cannot, for instance shout fire in a theatre or advocate the assassination of certain elected officials in the US by Federal law. No matter how "peaceful" your ethnic cleansing may start, look at history, it never ends that way.

We've got 230+ years of laws since the Bill of Rights that make it clearly wrong to attack someone for speaking.
I guess you haven't heard of states with mutual combat laws, such as Washington and California(the latter I am going according to wiki). You can still beat the **** out of someone who is being a jerk in some of the freer states of the Union.

How many millions of people would still be alive today if someone had?

I can tolerate a lot of stupid. Stupid that has proven genocidal though is one I can't stomach. For me Nazism and Communism(as a distinct and separate entity from socialism) are simply dangerous ideologies. If the last century taught you anything it should be to never travel those roads again, and that knocking sense into their advocates may actually be a good idea for the sake of humanity.
We have the same views on this issue. I wonder why...

I don't disagree with your second point, but let's consider the first.

In the Hebrew tradition as you must know, the curb stomp you speak of is Tanakh-cally supported, too, suggesting God would will it.

But to believe the single murder you commit would have prevented anything is a bit nearsighted. So, it raises a theological question, should you follow the commandment, or your own desires to control the future?

Even if you're not religious, "young punk making angry speeches to reporters" is the heart of the First Amendment, dude. Hitler would be free to walk around and preach anywhere in 2016 America. He'd just have to end up becoming a joke. The Internet doesn't forget, or forgive.

Maybe Hitler's death makes him such a martyr, it creates a thousand Hitlers, then billions die. Maybe destroying him, when we did, was the best we could have done.

Punching people in the street over political speech is just bad.

Next time it could be a Trump supporter bashing some woman's brains in for wearing pink.

This is the reach to end all reaches. The holocaust in one of those situations that was a literal worst case scenario. Just fucking stop.

What's wrong snowflake, did I trigger you?

Was my hypothetical martyrdom to Michael Tzadock's hypothetical curb-stomp too much?

Or did you not bother to read HIS post, before responding to mine?

    Jerk.

I read and agreed with his post. I think you're making excuses for one of the shittiest ideologies to walk the earth.

No, you can't "beat the **** out of someone" in Washington or California.

Show me the law that says "if someone is being a jerk, you can beat the **** out of them."

Seriously, that's not what the laws say at all.
