State your unpopular opinions about Martial Arts here:

Heel Hooks aren't anymore dangerous then any other twisting submission such as a Kimura

While Judo, BJJ and Sambo are evolutions of JJJ. Aikido is watered down JJJ.

The Katana is the best sword you can make with the pig iron the Japanese had available but completely inferior to their European counterparts.

Wacky Sport specific guards are not the end of BJJ as a "martial art".
Of the single rapier fight between valiant men, having both skill, he that is the best wrestler, or if neither of them can wrestle, the strongest man most commonly kills the other, or leaves him at his mercy.

The Bujinkan, while lacking in alive training, is not the crap McDojo that everyone thinks it is.

Krav Maga is a good and fast way to teach someone basic selfdefense.

Taekwondo is not a game of foot-tag.

Kyokushin is overrated as a striking art.

Boxing is the greatest martial art of all time, next to wrestling.

Dojo storming should still be a thing.

Horse stance, while boring to novices and the impatient, is one of the greatest leg exercises ever developed by man, but few people realize this because they are lazy.

Assuming one is proficient with it, in the age of firearms and concealed carry, martial arts are partially redundant.

I'm gonna second the whole Bruce Lee thing. Even here, in the land of the doubters, many still have a too high opinion of him.

He was not a great martial artist. Solid good, maybe. Not great.
