If you could take away all of the legally owned civilian firearms in Honduras, it'd still be a tough neighborhood. The political corruption and drug trafficking would insure that, since that is what drives the firearms violence in Latin America.

It is not the result of ordinary citizens settling squabbles with their 5 legally owned pistolas.
Nor with their machetes.
