    Sounds like a plateau. They are rough but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Ironically you really do just have to keep pushing and you will eventually hit a breakthrough. People talk about it all the time. Mindless, monotonous practice that seems to be going nowhere, then one day, almost when you least expect it, the light goes on.

    I have too been doing BJJ for aprox 1yr and have hit a the plateau a few times already. One thing I have found that has helped me over them is to take a private lesson from my instructor. It always seems to re-energize me for training. Keep up your training and enjoy.
