    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Hello from Greece

Hello to BS community. I'm from Greece, dunno if other greek members exist on the forum. I have practiced Wing Tsun for about 2 years, that's how actually my whole martial arts life begun :-P,then after a biiiiiiig break due to the whole situation here I did 6 months of Krav Maga and now thinking of attending judo lessons, seems closer to what i'm capable of.....I mean....Not good at kicking, quite good at punching but very good at the whole grappling thing as my Krav Maga instructor said. I'm looking forward to get info and maybe give info from what i've experienced.
Thanks a lot for your time reading this,
    Kyriakos

    Welcome to Bullshido.

I thought I spelled it wrong, but as I said I'm a mechanic not an English professor.

Welcome. I've heard it said that the Martial Art finds you. So, go with Judo and let us know how you get on.

    Good luck.

Pffft, but what does a Krav instructor know about good grappling, anyways?

Welcome to Bullshido! I highly recommend going to check out your local judo club. Tons of fun.

    Just a couple questions:

Do modern Greeks reference the old classical city state geography when commenting where they come from? Like referring to Sparta.

Secondly do greeks watch the American Movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" what do they think of it?

What do the young generation think of the greek civil war circa 1947?

Seriously I thought no trolling was alloud on this section the forum at least :) but it's OK!!!!
    1) I think it's better to generalise and say "Athens,Greece" than saying "Kamatero,Attica,Greece" like none knows where Kamatero is :).
2)I found that movie one of the funniest movies I've seen so far....Actually the whole wedding procedure is as shown on the movie.Apart from the fact that the lady with the leading role was really fat,I mean HUGE, and then she became "normal",Greeks are not like that.....Either they are fat or "normal" :)
3)My personal opinion for the civil alike all civil wars is that it was CRAP!! It's totally different for a country trying to "put down" a dictatorship like it was done with G.Papadopoulos in 1974,or somethin like that, and totally different for a leftists to fight rightists or vice versa...It's totally STUPID!! The definition of the word STUPIDITY!!! Everything can be solved with Democratical ways and with the power of speach, something that is forgotten in our days!! :)

I hope I answered your questions and my opinion doesn't represent the whole young generation of Greece. Just my own personal opinion!!

    With regards,
    Kyriakos Kypraios

Going to have to disagree with you on the quote above. Talk is preferred, but sometimes action is required.

True but best way to solve any kind of matters is always the speech. Action must be taken when nothing else works. But that's really extreme!!
