    Hi, I'm new

Hi everyone, I'm just new to this site and was told I needed to introduce myself and say hi. Not sure exactly what else I should be doing here. I'm Tae Kwon Do trained although I'm interested in using more grappling techniques and self defense training.... we're a pretty traditional club. Not much else to say, trained in Canada under Master S. Large and A. Betker, but that goes back a ways .... so looking to reenter the sport in a more practical format.
That's about it.... so hello Bullshido follows....

Lurk more, use or start appropriate threads and in appropriate forum sections and develop a thick skin and a sarcasm detector, or you'll get eaten alive here. A word of advice ;-).

Switching MAs from Tae Kwon Do might also be practical advice in that department, but no one's going to come right out and say it.

We don't hate any particular arts, here. But we do not necessarily approve of the way you train them. So, *ahem*:
What would you estimate the kata to drilling ratio to be, at your TKD classes?
    Do you spar, full contact?
Do you practice your techniques against fully resisting opponents at any point during class?
Are there eight year olds with black belts at your gym?

    Just curious.

    Welcome to Bullshido.

I thought I spelled it wrong, but as I said I'm a mechanic not an English professor.
