    example^^^^

i remember when i had no experience i was impressed by instructors like this but bunch of years later i realize it's all garbage

To be fair to this 13 year old troll, they have taken a little more effort in constructing their post/thread than other 13 year old trolls who've been popping up lately.

because traditional arts have left their mark
and people believe it works when their own experience is limited

If you want an honest reply before someone eats you.

    The military has guns.

And even if they do martial arts it is very commonly the national martial art (usually a sport art) of whatever nation said army is located in.

In countries like the USA, and some bullies with military experience may chime in, they do very basic stuff grounded in wrestling and boxing.

But it is low priority compared to actual military training. In fact I think the idea is just the wrestling is good PT.

These days we don't have to fight like fucking samurai.

One of my friends in the Army is of the opinion that we return to Hoplite based warfare to resolve our differences.
