I wish. Apparently surgery is expensive without health insurance.

I have the same plate but mine was $25,000; $15,000 of the ISKA's money and $10,000 of mine. Unfortunately, the doctor told me I can't bash people with it or it will just break at the end of the plate. :(

Think how lame Wolverine would be if his bones just broke at the end of the adamantium every time. lol

You know if this titanium plate thing is as contagious as it seems Sirc's arm is getting broken.

I have a real job. Unfortunately it's for a small company and our health insurance was badly structured. So, y'know, STBM.

What does badly structured mean? Nonexistent health insurance that results in a $20,000 out of pocket payment is a little more serious than "badly structured", I would think.

0 deductible, HUGE maternity coverage, MASSIVE premiums. As in, the premium was higher than my mortgage. I would have paid out close to 45k in premiums in before I needed my 20k surgery. So I actually saved 25k by not having the health insurance and paying for the surgery out of pocket since I haven't needed the insurance for anything else.
My current insurance is a 2500$ deductible, no maternity coverage, and a completely reasonable premium. It's structured to cover accidents, injury. and illness instead of childbirth.
