    6', 210ish, 23.

I've lifted on and off for a few years, but I've actually been semi-seriously working on strength training since this winter.

    Bench 265 x 1
    Squat 425 x 1
    Deadlift 495 x1 (hitched a little)

Before November last year I'd never lifted. Lifted for 3 months, took a break, then lifted for about 2 months before shoulder problems, hopefully this excuses my results..

    Squat 187lbs x 5
Bench 143lbs x 5 (military press, feet on bench)
    Deadlift 297lbs x 5

Odd numbers due to the fact that I use metric natively.
Curiosity killed the cat. But damn it had a blast.

I got into weightlifting in high school, and my coach used an entirely metric weight system (despite being in the USA). So for the first several years of my lifting experience, I used the metric system. Personally, I consider it to be the pure form of measurement.

Just got a test shot, and damn I just benched 300x10, after a squat session that ended with 370x10. Might be why I haven't gotten stronger in the last few years, but have gotten fatter. I'm getting a pellet implanted at the end of the month to try to bring my test up into the normal range. Maybe I will recover quicker too.

If I can keep my back strong, I might see about squatting more, but I really don't want to push it. I like walking too much.

There's also a BJJ/MMA school in my gym, I might join, if I can keep mobile...

Glad I'm not the only one; except you bench more than me.

*edit: good lift you sure you couldn't have done more?

Tough is not how you act, tough is how you train.

Not bad, but benching more than you can squat is not usually a good sign.
