Well since this thread has raised its big ugly head again....
Luke has updated his site. He has taken out all of those dumbass qualifications from his Bio. Now it shows that he was trained by his father from a young age, while his father managed two martial arts schools (no idea what kind). He also included this little gem:

"Through the first hand experience of dealing with violence on a regular basis as a professional Luke teaches that Self Protection & Personal Security is NOT about techniques but about your lifestyle and how you conduct yourself."

I have no idea what kind of professional he was, is, or...whatever. The following is an official list of martial arts he practices, although he only trains Silat and Muay Thai now:

    Yang Shi Taiji
    Southern Mantis Kung Fu
    Pencak Silat
    Haidong Gumdo
Filipino Combatives with Tuhon Felix Cortez
    Hakkoryu Jujutsu
    Muay Thai under Master Toddy
    Muay Boran and Krabi Krabong
    Budo Taijutsu

On another note, I see that he is wearing a shemagh now. So there's that.

So appearnelty Luke recently has had surgery to remove a brain tumor. apparently, this is the second time in his life that he's had to have brain surgery to remove a tumor. Suddenly,I understand why Luke is never on video sparring with anyone and has never entered any competition. Considering any type of strike to the head could cause Luke to die even if the guy begged me to fight I would avoid it. Because there is a huge chance you'd accidentally kill him. However, what I don't understand is why Luke is always trying to pretrade himself as some kind of badass. When in reality he's much more fragile invulnerable than most of the people he teaches.

Everyone is caught in a search for significance. Sometimes compassion is more appropriate than judgment.

You can live what ever fantasy you would like to live in the privacy of your own home. When you decide you want to teach your delusions and put yourself out there as a certified instructor and/or expert for exorbitant amounts of money ... you get no sympathy nor compassion.

Especially when what you teach will open you up to lawsuits and injury/death.

Let's not forget the 8 years of hiding, squirming, and dodging questions I believe all good will has been used up and taken advantage of.
I don't mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out.

    Huh nope.

Maybe if his video had contained something to the effect of:

" Having been close to death and realising how precious and vulnerable our lives are I have decided to stop being a lying douchebag and am going to come clean on all my BS. Sincere apologies LH "

Until then he can get fucked.

Don't confuse judgement with telling the truth. Compassion doesn't require validation of someone's actions, either.

For an example of telling the truth: this is called a "photo op". It's for marketing purposes.

Yes, but this isn't one of those times.
