At least good Karate? There's more good Karate in the world than Kung Fu, unfortunately. I'd suggest some Boxing or Muay Thai, there's a decent amount around Phoenix. I believe AZ Muay Thai has a Peoria location somewhere. Might be worth looking into. It'll help you build far more useful fighting skills than Kung Fu.

Well there's a Gracie Barra school right off of Dunlap and the I-17, but they only do 1 year binding contracts for payment. If that doesn't bother you, then they're really good. Just make sure you stay away from the majority of the Chinese Martial Arts studios in Phoenix, particularly Jinheng Li's place on Thomas Rd. Li is a good Wu Shu instructor, but he'll let just about ANYBODY that claims MA experience teach his students there. Is there a certain style you were looking for?

I can't really speak for the style as a whole, sorry, just my specific school. I liked it, but it was C- karate at best. I'd recommend anyone from my town asking about martial arts to one of the boxing gyms or the judo place first, although you can do much worse (read: TKD).
