Martial Arts Experience:
The biggest obstacle to my training has been the number of times I have moved. As one of my former teachers would say, "Life gets in the way". I started with Jujitsu when I lived on Long Island, then I moved to Queens, studied at Progressive Martial Arts when it first opened in the early 90s. I eventually ended up in San Diego and studied at ISDC in Poway. I can't say enough good about that school. But work and kids always took priority and then once again I moved and the ride to Poway got too long and I just went too infrequently got hurt too often and took another long break from training.
My priorities are totally different now. My kids, 10 and 7, are really into karate and now I'm just looking for a place that is family oriented we can eventually all train together.
