    Stephen K. Hayes on Youtube

So I don't know if anyone else has seen it, but recently I came across the youtube channel that shows some short samples from Stephen K. Hayes' To Shin Do system.

Here's the link to his channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/SKHQuest

To Shin Do was one of the styles I looked at after I had gotten smacked around after years of some karate McDojo training, the school was too far away from me, but I did like the general idea of what they were trying to do (aside from the whole ninja marketing bit)

The DVD's cost a bit too much, but these vids, again, are some clips from some DVD's. What do you guys think?

The aggressor's moves are kind of slow, and it's a demo, but that let's Hayes do some pretty fancy things that I'm not sure if they'd work so hot in full speed. But Hayes does have some experience so maybe he could pull it off.... anyway, have at it.

He moves well for his age.

I still wouldn't train with him though.

Learning to fight from Stephen Hayes is like learning to Break Dance from Stephen Hawking

That's an unfair comparison, Hawkins never claimed to be able to breakdance well, however Hayes is an authentic ninjer master....:ninjadanc

                    Are you defending Hayes?

Stop it. Stop it. Stop it.

No not at all, I am just laughing at someone cutting down Hayes who might just say Hatsumi is teh real ninja master.

All right guys, let's not get into a Buj discussion, there are plenty of threads about that already.

To the people saying "subscribe", you doing that because you like the stuff you see, or because it's entertaining? :P

I came across this video of To Shin Do training in a North Carolina school: YouTube - Training at NC Quest Center

Don't know what comes from "ancient ninja secrets" and what comes from "cross training in Judo, kickboxing, etc etc" Though there are people who say that at high levels it'll all look the same but..... let's not even get into that please.

Yes, clearly these guys have cross-trained... but it's progress.

I only skimmed it, but that video did not stand out as amazingly awful. It had a couple wristlocks and silly self-defense, but y'know what, that's not an indictment when you have healthy doses of real striking and grappling. The worst thing I saw was the lighting, and that the throws were a little too compliant.

I saw some definite Gyokko in there.
