YouTube - "Textbook of Ju-jutsu" (1905) re-animated
Nice "re-animation" of very early judo/jujitsu film footage taken from Sadakazu Uyenishi's "Textbook of Jujitsu", published in England in 1905.
Uyenishi was one of the young Japanese instructors at E.W. Barton-Wright's Bartitsu Club. He later set up his own dojo in London.
The techniques shown in this re-animated footage probably show the influence of Uyenishi's co-instructor Akitaro Ono, who was a judo 4th dan.
