Fumio Manaka and Jissen Kobudo Jikinenkan

Does anybody know anything about this art? I did some searching on this site, but came up empty handed. As far as I can tell from the website http://jinenkan.com/en/Default.htm it states that Fumio Manaka, also called Unsui, has something like 40 years of experience and holds Menkyo Kaiden in several koryu. The name, "Jissen Kobudo Jinenkan" also sounds a bit...unusual. It goes on to say that they teach:

    Koto-ryu koppojutsu (bone breaking/striking techniques)
Gyokko-ryu koshijutsu (soft tissue striking techniques)
Togakure-ryu nin-po (stealth and other techniques)
    Kukishin-ryu dakentaijutsu (striking techniques)
Kukishin-ryu happo biken (sword and staff techniques)
Shinden fudo-ryu dakentaijutsu / jutaijutsu (striking and grappling techniques)
    Takagi yoshin-ryu jutaijutsu (grappling techniques)
Jinen-ryu jissen kobudo (a collection of 6 separate weapon systems)

It also says that the Jinen school was created in the 90's by Fumio Manaka...so, how could it be a Koryu?

Anybody have any experience with this art?

Do not post in MABS again unless you are accusing the subject of fraud or needing an investigation.

What errant108 is elequantely trying to say is that this forum is for more serious inquires, like that kind that might lead to legal issues. If you have a basic question on background us the Your MA Sucks forum.

And Manaka is very much legit. As already stated he broke off from the Bujinkan, formed his own org, and added some material based on his personal views. Since he legitimately received his ranks form the Buj he is qualified to teach said arts as well as his views based on his experiences.

Given that it is entirely too easy to tarnish someone's reputation via the internet, MABS is the area of this site that we are most anal about. Some have posted supposed investigations in it, only to find us turning on them, because they were more interested in using MABS to spread disinformation and personal attacks about people than actually run an investigation.

It's a Bujinkan spin off, so if what you want to do is LARP the traditional Japanese arts, then go for it.

The following is a good article-length piece on Fumio Manaka's background

                        http://www.jinenkanseigi.com/clouds&water.htm

It includes some information on his experience with Judo, his time with the Japanese Defense Force, his training with Hatsumi Sensei and how he came to his current teaching and organization.

Perfect for people that want to live the ninja-ancient arts thing, but also want feel different at the same time.
Fraud scale goes this way, from worst to "best": Ashida Kim, Bujinkan, Genbukan, Jinenkan.

                          Hello Gladius,

I am curious, what is your basis for saying fraud. Usually if your going to make a fraud case you have undisputed fact. Now if you do not have undisbuted fact you a getting close to something called defamation of character. What is your fact!

Chances are Gladius isn't aware that calling someone a fraud, even on the internet, has legal implications.

Gladius you need to see the thread discussing how a certain ninja too E-budo to court and all the money it cost them.
I am too lazy to look for it
