    I found good taijutsu

Yes I'm sure when you hear taijutsu you think ninja larpers, and hatsumi I certainly do. But in my daily travels I came across this system of fighting. Its called fuji ryu taijutsu, from the vids I've seen it looks like daido juku, with a stronger emphasis on self defense. I don't know much about it, all I've seen are the videos posted on the website.

Me != expert, but I'm pretty sure that taijutsu has nothing to do with ninjers except in the sense that they have polluted the term. IIRC it is almost interchangable with jujitsu. They are closer to generic terms for fighting rather than specific styles.

People who know what you are talking about go ahead and correct me, I'm lubed.

There is Koryu that use this term so I partially agree with the happyoldguy.

The website was pretty informative, I guess these guys have a pretty short lineage.

I'm not surprised at finding good taijitsu. From my limited understanding, taijitsu has a pretty good reputation generally. The one taijitsu guy I've ever sparred was good too, gave me a black eye.

True that. I generally think of taijitsu as being the best example of ninjitsu...the kyokushin of ninjers, if you will.

its odd though, the taijutsu of the bujinkan doesn't have proper striking (as far as I know from the threads on this site)

So they can say they have the real taijutsu, and not ripped off wholesale from another art.

Just because the ninjas use the word doesn't mean they have exclusive rights to it. Isn't "taijutsu" a generic term for unarmed fighting anyway?
