Hi. You are reading an archive of the legendary Bullshido forums, from 2002-2020. Please visit our NEW and (arguably) improved forums at https://forums.bullshido.net.
(Or don't, this is just an announcement and nobody's holding a gun to your head.)
Funny movie. If you watch the deleted scenes you will see that they originally were putting a darker edge to it. The fight in the hotel room is classic.
whats funny is this is based off my tkd organization, taekwondo america. I dont if if i should feel ashamed or honored by having this movie based of us.
I didn't think the movie was very funny. I couldn't tell if they were trying to make a comedy or a semi-serious movie with a few scenes of comic relief. Him crying after the showdown in the back yard was pretty funny, that's about it.
I enjoyed it. Fred Simmons reminded me of some of the instructors I've met. Although I think that if the director Jody Hill(the blonde fellow who didn't believe in belts) had written himself a bigger part the movie would have been better.

I'll give you a hint: it's definitely not column B.
Maybe made me giggle once or twice. Wasn't really worth downloading. If you want to get all English major on it the underlying message seems to be that it's ok to lose the street fight as long as you can beat them with your forms and board breaking.
Maybe that was the biggest joke of the whole steaming pile.
Just started watching this thing. Not my style of humor so I can only watch about 5 minutes at a time. That being said, I feel compelled to watch it as a "what not to do"... though that seems pretty obvious.
yes I know I just bumped a thread that had been quiet for 8 months.

It's not funny, it's sad. I have literally heard instructors spout that crap to their students.
