Therrien does have one thing FSD schools don't have tho- credible fight records that can be verified. Still waiting for any proof of scott hill and co's historical MMA competitions. Perhaps you kept some record you could post here...it would be interesting and aid historical interpretation of FSD instructors' development under SIJO's guiding hand. Thanks for coming back dic(k)69, we've missed you.

Sorry I haven't been on for a while (work you know!)

Okay, as for your trashing of the Jiu Jitsu program. I love the fact that you differentiate between the Jiu Jitsu program and the BJJ program. Last time I check Therien only offers one program. Jamboo it sounds a lot like you did the first class and pulled an Ed Grubberman.

I can't (and won't) get into an argument about the quality of instruction at Therien due the fact that the program and system is not only demonstrably excellent (in their huge lineage of top ranked fighters and coaches) but also a program that has been associated with an number of equally reputable organizations.

I notice that the court file numbers are the same in each case, so it looks like there's just the one lawsuit.
Pathetic.... JP loves the law when it benefits him. Whatever happened to Dino and Dan? I wonder if the thugs that JP sent (JP does not do his dirty work) to intimidate them refunded their franchise fees...

Also, I wonder if James Demile sued JP for taking the system that Demile developed?

Confirmed.... It is a cult, a money grab.

BTW, the heat is on with Fang Shen Do. Don't worry, he'll change the name. That's been the trend hasn't it? What is he going to call it next? Smell Dog do(o)?Oh..... One other question.... Did JP smell the bucket of dog shit before having his Sifu's and students take a whiff?

Ah common.... At one of their Christmas party's they had a 50/50 draw, of which 50% went straight to their pocket book. I wonder if they claimed that on their income taxes?

                  More sordid history.

Looking into the past of FSD and JP is gonna be like digging a hole. The more you dig the more dirt there is.

Back in 91-92 JP used to advertise a marriage councelling service in the local yellow pages.

I can only imagine what those sessions must have been like.

                  J. DeMile did post a rather nasty thing on his site a few years back when Jaques was refusing to stop using the WCD name. I basically said that JP showed up for a few days (maybe at a camp or something) and then stole his notes and then started teaching. Basically he kept that on his site until JP renamed WCD to Patenaudes Kung Fu.

One of the members on here wondered if JP had more training with DeMile than Demile likes to admit. This is a possiblity as someone bearing a striking resemblance to JP showed up in a picture on the last page of "Bruce Lee's 1 & 3 inch Power Punch" by James W DeMile. Which was first published in 1975. I have the eleventh edition from around 91-92 and have no idea if that pic was in all the other editions.
It was claimed around the WCD school that it is JP in that photo but it is hard to make out the face.

There are also the strange circumstances I heard about surrounding the closure of the school on isabella which I will have to verify before elaborating on.

                              SleepyCat,

You can attach images to your posts. I have copy of DeMile's book in front of me. Is JP the guy holding onto the back of the guy in front of him while DeMile punches the front guy demonstrating the power of his punches?

He is supposed to be the third guy in the line. In the next frame he is the motion blur on the far right. Not much of an appearance but it counts.
