I wonder if something similar is occuring with "neothink" and if so how is it part of the larger picture?

Interesting points you raise, Andrew. I'm curious, are you aware of any relationship between this "neothink" and Scientology? Or was that just a comparison example that folks might be more familiar with?

Creative googling gets me from Neothink to Neo-Tech which is often described on the web as a "Cult of Rationality" or Objectivism and as Neo-Scientology.

Given the Ayn Rand type objectivist posts by the Fang Shen Do Sifus, this makes for some very interesting logical chains with regards to them and the way they think.

AndrewA or any other ex-FSD guy, do you have direct experience that would shed light on this?

Tony Robbins runs seminars called: "Unleash the Power Within."

Note the book title for sJP's book.

Now most of sJP's seminars are obviously Tony Robbins seminars, from arrow breaking to firewalking. Not Martial Arts Seminars.

On his old website he noted this:

Master Patenaude is also a certified Neuro-Associative Conditioning trainer with the Robbins Research Institute.

What is interesting is that sJP's seminars and teaching appear to have less and less to do with Martial Arts as we move forward through the timeline.

Interesting points you raise, Andrew. I'm curious, are you aware of any relationship between this "neothink" and Scientology? Or was that just a comparison example that folks might be more familiar with?

It was just a comparison example. My point was the deceptive methods of certain cults/groups/philosphies. As another example I once found an ad for a dating service on a telephone pole in downtown Ottawa. After looking around the Internet I found that this "dating service" was actually a front for the Unification Church (i.e. the "Moonies"). Similarily I wonder if neothink is just one part of a larger group/cult and if so what is that group? Like I said, you wouldn't stumble over "Neothink" while browsing books in the library. Cults and their like love schools of all types because the students are natually open to learn new things. Go to rickross.com for tons of info on this subject. My concerns still remain, is Patenaude teaching/promoting Neothink to recruit students into a larger cult/group?
