Originally posted by MrGaltI used to shoot plenty, but it was more in the paper silhouette and clay disk department. Never had a spare pig to test my calibers on unfortunately.
Now that I have a verdict on .22, I shall go forth and build my zombie pistol as soon as I get back to the US in that caliber.
But hey, accuracy is accuracy. I shoot paper and clay a lot more than meat, but real life use can't be beat. When you get back, go huntin'!

Lets just say I buy smokeless powder in bulk. For any ATF types reading this my stuff is all theoretical
Reminds me of a real sicko I used to work with years ago. When the swat team hit his house they found him hiding in the bathtub with numerous military explosive devices at hand. It was never said where he got the stuff.

Marshal has one "L". I never said modern guns have no improvements over the original 1911 design, I merely stated that most "improvements" (I put it in quotations because some are either arguable or you give up something as you gain something else) could be used on the 1911 pattern. I'm sorry if my saying you are uneducated on the subject, but even a casual reading of your posts indicate that you are. Obviously that hit a nerve. The easiest way to remedy that situation is to get educated. The thing that you said which I challenged the most was that a single action firearm (1911) in C&L carry was "unsafe". I pointed out that compared to a Glock of the same # trigger pull you would need to deactivate two safties then pull the trigger to fire it, yet the glock simply requires the trigger to be pulled. Those are facts. You then launched into what I perceived as an emotional argument about the hammer being back. Please, please find someone in your area who is knowledgable about firearms to help you out with this. I can't do it on a board. I sincerely invite you to contact me if you come to the NJ area. I'm certain I could show you a few things that would interest you and if you are open minded I'm also sure that I could get you shooting at a level that will really impress your range buddies when you get home.
As for what we carry that's not for dissemination. But somehow I suspect you know.

To whomever talked about the need to establish a fortified position in order to survive the Large Scale Lazarus Impersonation:
The problem with that scenario is that ANY fixed, fortified position can be taken if the attacker is willing to throw enough bodies at it. You might be able to hold on for a while, but in a few months the necros are going to exhaust all the other fresh meat in the area and be drawn to your position by the smell of your tasty human flesh. We're talking Rolling Stones concert like numbers of the damn things, all impervious to pain and battering on your defenses. If you don't have an exit strategy, eventually the zombie horde WILL get in and WILL eat you.
