    "Demonstration"

Well, June 7th we're going to have our own 300. As there's going to be an anti-war protest. There are currently 300 of us activated for the riot control/suppression unit. Slated to attend are the anarchists among the usual aggressive crowds..... I'll be watching 300 on repeat the evening before.. ;-)

I recommend you make a booking ASAP, restaurants are always full around demos.

Watch footage of the '68 Democratic National Convention and repeat the mantra "Daley was wrong."

The irony here. Is that they are protesting, then get the shit kicked out of them.
Then complain that they got beaten... because in a real anarchy... people wouldn't just randomly haul off and beat the shit out of people they don't like, without reprocussion.

If you are an anarchist you are not allowed to ever complain about what any other person does person does. Ever.

Fuck anarchists, they should all be forced to serve on the hymnal committee of a local Baptist church.

Well, I consider myself anarchist, (I registered as a Libertarian "cause it was the closest thing) and I've worked as a political activist for lefty causes. I don't see the point of protesting. It changes nothing, and gets people hurt and property damaged. I believe in petitioning for signatures to get new laws passed.

BTW, political anarchists don't want a Mad Max future. They want direct democracy, where every citizen gets an equal vote on every issue, instead of voting for a leader to make every vote on every issue according to a party line for four years. I think we could have a voting system to do this with the internet. It couldn't be any more corrupt or less secure than those damn electronic voting machines.

                Fuck yeah !

Form a wedge and route those fucking bastards . Teach them to have a anti-war protest .

Just try not to hit your own guys in the crowd . The amount of violent protesters should just about equal the number of plainclothes guys in there .

                Get video .

"Political anarchists" need to find a new label for themselves and stop misusing words.

Well, I consider myself anarchist ...
Didin't we already try anarchy? My history is a little fuzzy, but I think it developed into a republic....

Also, badcredit, that's called a Direct Democracy, not anarchy. Just sayin'.

                        Anarchy =/= democracy.

Also, direct democracy is simply not practical for any body of government larger than that of 6th century bce Athens.

If anarchy is so great, then why the hell isn't a significant portion of Africa dominating the world?

This is straight from the wiki article on Anarchy.

(The word "anarchy" is often used by non-anarchists as a pejorative term, intended to connote a lack of control and a negatively chaotic environment. Whether because of this or a desire to differentiate themselves from individualist anarchists some activists (primarily during the late nineteenth century) self-identified as libertarian socialists. In more recent times anti-authoritarian has offered another similar self-identification. However, anarchists still argue that anarchy does not imply nihilism, anomie, or the total absence of rules, but rather an anti-authoritarian society that is based on the spontaneous order of free individuals in autonomous communities, operating on principles of mutual aid, voluntary association, and direct action.)

The most educated person I know is a friend of mine from college who has a Ph.D. in Sociology. He identifies with Anarcho-socialism. He's worked as a statistician for a major hospital for years, and some of his studies on how badly the government treated the sick poor were so damning that the Bush administration asked the hospital to stop him from doing any more. He's still doing them with the hospital's support.

Sure, there are Anarchists who break the windows of Nike stores and Starbucks, but there are plenty who believe in nonviolence, who don't destroy anything or hurt anybody. Many of them protest nonviolently, sometimes by chaining themselves to business and government building's doors. When cut free and arrested, they don't fight, they go limp and give passive resistence. Braggin' about being a riot cop and being 300 Spartans to their 1 million Persians makes you look like a stupid fascist bully, which proves their point about corrupt governments and their lapdogs.

The idiot protesters who do break shit? The kind of assholes who throw bricks at police horses and then start filming the cop's responses afterwards? Assholes. I don't agree with them. Go start a petition. Get signatures. Vote. There are legal, nonviolent means to change the world for the better.
