I like the BANG/Ka-Pow, but sometimes people can be thick. Maybe if we include explosives and ammo in the same category (they both go boom)...

I like the "Whack" & "Stab" ideas. How about instead of "Boom" for explosives and make "Kapow" (or some similar campy 60's Batmanish) for ammo.

Explosives is a bad idea, too much misinformation floats around about them, and it will attract jackasses to the forum.

As much as I love explosives, I don't ever recall a discussion on it, and I don't think it would be a good idea to get instructional discussion on that here.

Hmmm, one would one categorize brass nuckles and similar weapons? Just an esotheric question. The idea is great, specially if you create icons for the "whack" category. If the icons were go to have titles such as "whack", "stab" and "boom", that would be teh c00l.

I think that traditional weapons fit in the "weapons" icon.

Guns takes care of anything gun related.

That looks good. One suggestion:

Exotic Weapons: for of the occasional thread on spear, nunchuku or other weirder TMA weapons.

Just an idea, however, most of those weapons can fit in whack or stab.
