Tim is an awesome instructor and a funny and great guy. That's gonna be a cool seminar. I'd come to it if i didn't live in Baton Rouge and train at Gladiator's Academy where he teaches on Friday nights. Let me know how it goes.

*Evil lawyer materializes to ask leading question*

Isn't it true said judo instructor taped the hands of, and prepared to corner, at least one well known, registered sex offender?

BTW thanks for your help when Ralph showed up here online, talk about raving douches!

Yeah, it's amazing what a little research can do for someone...(i looked at your school review and it says in black & white; will be teaching at Gladiator's Academy starting October 1st...i need to be less lazy). Awesome, hopefully i'll be there one day and you can teach me to not suck at stand-up, among other things. I've been training with Doug Fornett as much as i can lately, but my shoulder has been bothering me more than ever, and i'm only 22...

It was a good time. Worth every dollar. Cover alot of stuff from the clinch going for takedowns. The new side mount sweep was one of the cooliest thing I have seen in a long time.

Awesome! Would you mind explaining the side mount sweep? Or photo/vid if possible?

If the person is cross facing, you use your forearm in their throat and the webbing of your hand placed in their armpit. Pop their shoulder up to get their elbow on the other side of your head.

Now use the arm that was aginst their throat and take your hand to grab the back of their head. Take your farside knee to trap their arm closest to your hip. Swim your other arm like a overhook on the arm closest to your head.

Big bridge toward your farside shoulder and take them over.

Hard to explain, ask Tim about the escape/sweep from side mount that he came up with in Vegas. It feeds into a Shoulder-Lock.

He should be able to show you.
