That cobra hold from guard is sweet. Tried it in class a bit, definately going to develop it some more.

I forwarded the links to 2 of my Judo coaches and they both enjoyed them. They said the techniques were presented very well

    Jason,

You are a welcome addition to the depth of grappling knowledge we have here in this forum. The vids are great, detailed, well explained and demonstrated...great job.

I have been purposefully putting off adding the X-Guard to my game until I get a little more comfortable using the DLR guard (going on 6 months of focusing on it when the opportunity arises in both gi and no-gi); but the explanation of the entry into the X has me itching to train tonight.

    Awesome. Thanks.

    GJ

The Sub101 Triangle style Kimura variant.

But my personal favorite is always the MMA Girls.......:

That's how we train it at Vale Tudo. I mean the movement, not with blonde haired girls. I WISH we had blondes training........but I digress.

Hey Jasculs, I am sorry to have to beg you for pointers, but I am going to do so anyway.

When I am in mount, or when I take the opponent's back, I have trouble keeping good control of the position. What is your personal preferences in how you keep control of an opponent when you have those two dominant positions specifically?

    Thanks in advance, yo. :D

People yawn...it's apart of life...and I find that to not be disrespectful at all real...it is a physical occurrence that happens many many times with everyone and it is very hard to control...if I was considered disrespectful for yawning...people would probably hate me.

Also McDojo Hater, there is not need to explain yourself or even apologize because you did nothing wrong.

Back on topic though. Any vids on Kimura from gaurd. I am interested in the hip movement from the bottom while executing the kimura.

I don't mean I do like the full body yawn, stretch n scratch my balls thing. That would be rude. A little tact goes a long way. And I doubt it was a respect issue.

I'm sorry for upsetting you, but respect is something that people have different definitions of, so I'm not really going to discuss that.

I apologize for pointing fingers, as I shouldn't have said anything to begin with.

Of course yawning is an involuntary action, but as long as someone tries to not make it obvious, I don't think its disrespectful.

But again, didn't mean to upset anyone, I'll keep my mouth shut next time.

I yawn at practice... who gives a fuck???? It isn't a sign of disrespect, for me at least. Hell I am n 24 hour call and drive two hours each way to practice. Sometimes I fucking yawn. It takes a true ass to point out shit like that. Shame on you.

    Quick response, nice

thanks for pointing that out to me, because I read the comments before I watched the videos, and in all reality I probably wouldn't have noticed my douche-i-ness if it wasn't for your comment.

Now I have something to work on, getting more pumped BEFORE drilling, so I dont come off as a jackass!

That would be me, and looking at it, I totally agree with you, I do look bored (and I do get choked out, I suck)

I must however state that I love training with Jason at JS BJJ, and I love BJJ in general. but I was being rude by yawning, so you're right.

EXCUSE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess I was having an off day or something, because normally I am not that tired.

Also, I do practice to the best of my ability, unlike what you'd expect I'd be like after seeing me in that video.

I do not expect anyone to beleive my excuses after what I seem like in the video, and that's fair, because I do look like a jackass there.
