I really don know what this technique is called so i figured i'd call it "Bent Arm Lock From Inside the Guard" and write a thread on it to see if anyone knows what im talking about.
I was rolling today with one of the senior students in my guard. He didn't have a gi on so i tried to go for underhooks. He immediately got control of my left arm and forced it to the ground. He then stands up in my guard and lifts me off the ground. Then he grabs my left arm with his right hand (my arm is now behind my back) and gets back on to his knees. My arm is now pinned to the ground at a 45 degree angle behind my back and i can't really set anything up because if i move too much my arm will be bent to the point that i would tap or get my arm broken. We where in that position for about 3 of the 5 minute round; i tried to free my arm but i couldn't. Every time i tired to pull my arm out he'd push the arm behind my back even more making the position even more painful.
To simplify what it looked like imagine a police officer with a bent arm lock behind a persons back. It was just like that except the guy was in my guard.
Instead of staying in that position i just tapped out because i didn't want to hurt myself by trying to get out of a move i haven't even seen in grappling before. He did it pretty fast too and i really didn't see it coming. He said he was going for some sort of wrist lock.
Has anyone been caught in this type of move before? If you have, how did you escape and what where your other options with your free arm?
