ok, holy crap..finally, after all those pages of STUFF! For the record, I don't know any of the SBG guys or anyone else
#1 Luis was PLAYING with this big guy, I'm telling you that as who's been training for a lot of years. Luis was letting this guy work and make himself sick with effort, but was never, ever in trouble. If he wanted to tap that guy out, he could have done it at any time
#2 why is everybody complaining about the length of the vid? I can tell within 30 seconds who has skill, and who's just hanging on for dear life. (get swept and tap? lol)
#3 When the big guy taps out, it's not because of exaustion, or sickness, it's because he's beaten..he fights like a demon when it's still in a neutral position, but as soon as he's at a disadvantage, he taps.
#4 Luis keeps his feet in the big fella's hips, so you guys saying "oh yeah he could just punch him" are incorrect. By controlling his hips, he controls the distance and if he didn't want to be punched, he wouldn't be punched.
#5 why do you guys think that just because someone's big, they're tough? So what, he's 400 lbs? I'd pretty much guarantee that the 'fight' would look like Varleans vs. Marco Ruas.
#6 I agree this guy would be a force if he trained. My friend is 6'3" 380lbs, and his jiu jitsu is sweet, he was the canadian rep for Abu Dhabi
was this guy sick? or did the effort of rolling MAKE him sick? I've done that to the big guys before.. :-)
anyways..those are just some random thoughts after wading through this thread..and if anyone wants to talk about Street vs Sport, save it, because I've been fighting since I could walk, and they're not that different.
