Arkansas MMA Fans Trolled by "Borat"

Is there any reason why the MMA event going community would be singled out for a fake MMA cage match that exposes their value system? Would you fall for it too?

Arkansas fight fans fall for Baron Cohen stuntBoratTalladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky BobbyBorat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, in which he played a bumbling reporter from the Central Asia nation.

News of the faked cage fights comes as Baron Cohen is in production of a movie titled Bruno, named after the gay Austrian fashion reporter he developed for Da Ali G Showhttp://www.theglobeandmail.com/servl...nletter_newsUp

    that shit is actually funny!

what minimal (if any) damage might be done to the rep of mma and wrestling, does not compare to the humor value of this joke.

This excites me, because I now know Sacha is coming out with a new movie.

I cant wait to see the part where the cage fight happens.

(Reminiscent of the Borat v. Azamat fight perchance?)

That's hilarious. Even more hilarious because it was done in Arkansas. The audience must have been pissed.

He should have enlisted Sensei Al Perry.

He would have had a bigger turnout.

I wish I'd been invited to fight on the undercard that night.

As funny as this is, the whole idea was lifted from an old 1969 movie, "The Magic Christian" , where two boxers start kissing in the middle of their match.

Now, the only difference is that it was making fun of stuffy, upper crust Englishman (which Cohen is, basically), while Cohen's target is American rednecks.

Dude, I'd be pissed too if I was promised MMA and it turned out to be a typical BJJ match...

Maybe I'm reading wrong. Was there still an MMA event that featured this skit at the end or did people buy tickets to an MMA event and this skit was the only thing that happened? If the latter is the case, that's fairly serious fraud and people have a good justification for being pissed off.

depends on the wording of the advertisement, plus how much could it cost him? I don't know your legal system well enough if someone could sue two gay guys for making out causing 'damages'.
