Somehow, at Brown, we really don't have taht problem. That being said, at any party for which you charge and serve alcohol you are now required to have a fire marshall and police officers. Unfortunately the police officers hang out outside and didnt' do shit. Fortunately, we have a position called a sentinal whcih is just a big guy who doens't drink and deals with these things.

The scary thing was was all the rapes that were not being reported in the campus paper.
I think that drunken rape at frat houses is a huge unreported thing. If I were female, I'd never go to one. I'm male, but even then I hardly ever went to frat houses when I was an undergrad. What's the point? The beer they serve is usually nauseatingly bad.

maybe it's because i'm at a jewish frat at any ivy league schoool, but at our parties there are always people watching the bathrooms, stairwells, door, etc jsut to make sure this doesn't happen. It sucks because for an hour or two each brother has to stop partying and sit somwhere for an hour, but I feel our house is safer to party at than most house parties and some bars.
