I'll bet if we post a faux-fighting MMA style video on that sight all the chunners and krotty dudes will be like 'oh hes so totally kicking ass'

I have 12 years of Goju-ryu and Shoryn-ryu karate training, and the only thing it taught me was to not take Karate.

Must have been american karate then

I know a lot of guys hate Kung Fu or anything that isnt MMA or BJJ. But, having studied Kempo, BJJ, and Karate getting kicked in the groin or punched in the throat, or a good thrust punch or kick to the ribs, F*#@' n hurts no matter what your style. Always respect your opponant! In my experience its always the little guys that will give you your worst beating or transition you into a choke when you least expect it.

I don't think it's that people fundamentally hate Kung Fu. Well, maybe some people do. But what most here object to is when people who train along the lines of "stand here while I *WHA-TAAAAA!!!* Break your arm!" instead of training against a resisting opponent, and then claim martial arts expertise.

It's a lot easier to do that than to put in the time and effort of actually training to fight. You have to be a beginner for a long time (maybe years), sucking much worse at fighting than everyone else you train with and getting beaten all the time, which doesn't feed your ego at all.

Sure, you have your odd Kung Fu school that uses sparring in their training, but the majority would rather go to the Shaolin Temple and watch a monk do some crazy flippy acrobatic shit, and after watching that, pretend to have some knowledge of fighting. I know, I used to be one of them.

Hit Shift and F4 at the same time on the save screen. It'll give you those pubes you've been praying would grow in.

There is actually some truth in this, of course. But the thing so many "too deadly to spar" people miss out on is that if you can't successfully punch someone in the face who is also trying to hit you, then you probably can't punch them in the throat either. If you can't leg kick someone trying to take you down, you probably can't break their knee cap either.

Delivery system, son. They need to learn it.

Hmmm, I did watch that video about that Chinese Dude pulling off those combinations. Not saying that they won't work, but what is off is the way that the opponent froze in the position of executing one attack (leaving his fist out). 95% of the time, the opponent is not going to stay in one position as the flurry of attacks will hit him. For one, depending on the impact and effect the dude's techniques does to his opponent and the resilience and possible bodily reactions of the opponent's body will certainly not make the guy stand still in that position. The only way a flurry like that can work and leave the guy standing in position is if the guy executing the techniques is SOO fast that it'll be like watching the slow motion just like the matrix. But in the real world, one must take account of how the opponent can react for he can resist and instead of being stopped by a punch to the head, he may still continue to launch hits and it will be a rock em sock em robot match like the real world, lol
