Hi. You are reading an archive of the legendary Bullshido forums, from 2002-2020. Please visit our NEW and (arguably) improved forums at https://forums.bullshido.net.
(Or don't, this is just an announcement and nobody's holding a gun to your head.)
And even if I did, I'd rather be a CMA larper than an anime larper any day.
The difference between CMAers and cosplayers is that we have fun in costume while for you, the colorful PJs are a thin and inadequate protection against the tears which never stop flowing inside your heart.

Ah, us cry? We're not the group of people who indulge in sensory streamlining for the sake of inducing type two mental scenarios.
I just noticed this. I can't make heads or tails of what GIT|OFF|MAH|INTERNET!-chan here is trying to say. I have three hypotheses, however:
1: He's trying to sound smarter by using terms that only he knows the definition for. This is the intellectual equivalent of scoring hipster points by wearing a band t-shirt for an act that doesn't exist, then talking about how you saw their live set and had an emogasm right there and what do you mean you've never heard of Romantic Demise or These Incredible Machines?
2: He's obliquely trying to imply that I cosplay with a hard on. While i've been known to sport a chubby at the sight of a particularly well crafted automail arm, that's missing the point.
3: His burning self-hate has caused him to lose all control of his language centers, resulting in word salad.

As someone who has been involved in anime fandom for almost 10 years, I have to admit - most people in the fandom are utter retards. Those images from the messageboards you visited do not surprise me one bit.
Please fix the scrollbar issue in the OP, it is painful. I mean, I read through it anyway, but what a waste of time constantly hitting the arrow keys, because you can't even use your mouse to drag it since that part wasn't scrolling.
I cosplayed one time 3 or 4 years ago, very bad costume choice, but I had to choose it since it covered the entire body and I wasn't confident about my appearance. Can't see at all, if you ever wear headgear you need a guide or something. Otherwise you trip and make a fool of yourself holding a scythe.
