    but... those tattoos..?

    ther are not tattoos.

    they are 'twattoos'.

even some basic cod sort of off the shelf tribal stuff would be a far more sensible choice... but the ones he has...

    oh for shame!
I kind of like the giant broad sword tattoo. At least it's a little different and sort of goes along with his persona (I am a giant primitive viking warrior! RAAHHR!).

And its worked beautifully. His antics don't seem to be cutting into his revenue stream at all. Maybe the UFC and WWE aren't so different after all.

From people who have worked with Lesnar and some of his behind-the-scenes stuff, from WWE to the present day, he doesn't seem like such a douchebag when he's not in character. I think he's just gotten way too comfortable with getting people to hate him in exchange for money.

So Greco and savate aren't martial arts? The whole stoic budo schtick isn't universal throughout fighting arts.

There is a difference between pure fighter and martial artist. I really think we need to make a movement away from the douchebag pure fighter to martial artist. I personally believe if you truly want to be a good fighter, you need a martial artist attitude anyways. e.g. GSP, A. Silva, Fedor, etc.

I'd be interested in seeing Velasquez or Carwin fight Lesnar. Wonder if it'll happen soon.

And despite all of his geeky homoerotic ink, has beaten the hell out of the UFC's best. Including Couture, who (unlike every other "champion" Brock's faced) is actually worth a shit in the octagon.

But what's obviously most important is whether or not you appreciate his ink.

    Are you Lesnar's ego?

Here, perhaps a compliment sandwich will take the sting off for you:

    Lesnar is:

A huge, fast athlete. Current titleholder of Bullshido's Douchebag of the Month, who has the lamest tattoos of any celebrity currently in the public eye. His tattoos transcend the lameness of most white trash tough-guy tattoo art by incorporating fantasy role playing game subject matter such as the skulls of non-existant animals that frequent the imaginations of school children, an absurdly out of proportion bladed weapon that has been described by many as reminiscent of a male sex organ, and the visage of some sort of extra-terrestrial creature. But he has a tidy haircut...

    There, is that better?

Honestly, I'd respect the man if he publicly stated that Vince McMahon had paid him a huge financial incentive to have that pre-adolescent fap material inked into his flesh.

UNICORN SKULLS!?! Is that gayness trying to be badass, or badass showing it's gayness? I can't tell.
Does it feel a little disingenuous to talk shit over the internet about a man you wouldn't have the balls to look in the eye?

Yeah like how that asshat Kimura dragged the name of judo through the mud with his dishonorable behavior.

If the behavior of individual athletes in any way influences whether or not a sport is legitimate, you can count out professional Football and Basketball just for starters. The Dallas Cowboys alone have more felons than most state prisons.

I always considered the hardcore fans those that followed the sport outside of just its mainstream exposure, meaning other promotions and big prospects.
Rofl way to dodge the damn question, what biases? You're obviously the one full of bias here.

I guess that's the difference. I don't bother trying to convince anyone of the legitimacy of MMA as a sport. I figure people either like to watch fighting, or they don't. Those who do will overlook a lot of trash talking in the interest of getting to see good fights. Those who don't, aren't going to be convinced by me anyway.

Most of the people I know who dislike MMA don't dislike it because they object to the theatrics; they just don't like to watch fighting, for aesthetic reasons.
