The military is not going to spend that much time and money for the off-chance that you lose all of your weapons, are alone, and are facing against an enemy who is ALSO alone and unarmed, and is willing to fight you instead of running away. It just doesn't make sense.

I notice these LEO blowhard/wanna be's never realize...leo's fight training/actual situations stem from arresting/apprehending suspects. Even if the suspect want to fight and takes a swing or slash with the knife they leo is trying to effect an arrest/control of the suspect...not duke it out, if an off duty cop got into an ego driven fight....he might be on equal or less footing as the other guy..at least till the altercation progressed into familiar territory
