I'd like to take this time to say that I think battlefields is a swell guy, despite my disagreeing with him strongly on this issue. My heart is filled with everloving kindness for him and I hope he succeeds in all his ethically sound endeavors.

And, I would like to counterpoint this "zomg this Japanese is so hard to understand" with that I had to look up what a whizzer is.
So, yay for looking up things.

Please forgive me if this argument has already been brought up, I skipped a few pages on this thread.
Anyhow: Using the japanese terms is extremely helpful for all the "not natively english speaking" visitors of this forum. Like me.
Many of the english names/descriptions for throws are like bohemian villages to me. The japanese terms on the other hand are allways the same, no matter where one learned them.

OK OK stop beating on the Aussie. He made a point and was flogged for it. He does have a point about people assuming beginners should know what advanced people take for granted.
If he would have not called me and others who post advice pretentious I would have let it go also. I am also thankful to all the peeps who have my back on here. I think this was the main thing that stuck out to some people BF.

1) Set it to default google

4) Close tab when done, and bullshido will be as you left it.
=efficient searching
Of course...not everyone uses internet explorer, and I'm thinking of switching over to firefox myself...

If I wanted to be obnoxious, I would apologize that your feeble mind was forced to learn something new and foreign so that you could enter the global conversation regarding Judo and throws in general. Then I would point out that I, and countless others who have never formally studied Judo, had taken the time to learn the nomenclature without complaining about the necessity of doing so. Instead we took the time to educate ourselves in order to enjoy the privilege of intelligent discussion.
However, pointing all that out would be rather pedantic, and I'm trying to avoid that.

Here let me point out how silly this bullshit is....
Happy for this to be moved and my corpse flayed...
Yes, this is why I said you flipped out. You fully expected to get flamed and then reacted poorly.
I knew you had something ironic, but I thought it was implied in the two quotes you had in your post. Blinded by my own words, how ironic. Pretentiousness is subjective, so I see what you are saying. You also are being pretentious.

I flipped out? Where? You mean the "y'all wanna be dicks about it" line? The tone of that was mirroring the tone of the first response, a hint of malice in a throwaway line. Then people began mistaking me for the OP in my vague example thread and I had to make sure that that person wasn't unfairly implicated in my own opinion. Then people went off on tangents unrelated to the intention of the thread. I never strayed from my opinion yet was mauled for it and happily accepted the mauling because my suggestion was deemed, by the majority of posters, to be unworkable.
This has actually been a good discussion, other than the overreactions of some members who really didn't seem to get it.

Thanks IIF, you may, just may, have thrown some water on this flaming.
