isn't this that pathgate group or whatnot? I signed up for their emails hoping they would come to nyc so I could try and shoot a debunking video but I gave up years ago when the emails they sent seemed more like a cult and I didn't want to be put on any terrorist watch list.

I kind of understand why those clowns jump so much if its the same group-
but in that case a legit scientific explanation applies:
    "pavlovs dog".
these idiots are trained/train themselves to jump on their masters command.

    Two things-
Agree with ass cowboy except almost made me quit drinking coffee WHILE at the computer

    AND

about to have to start being a supporting member as I haven't been here long but I have laughed my ass off at roughly 3/4 of the non-stop-funny-ass-retarded shit that gets posted on this site.

Even the serious threads about where, who, when someone got a belt and from who have high antics from OP's. Precious humor at the least. Some of you fuckers are too damn smart as well, with the use of the vernacular and I am student for sure.

So for us new guys, keep dredging up this old stuff, my sides hurt from it.

O NO he got Granny too! It's kinda a shame he looked fairly athletic in the earlier videos. Unlike some of the other 300 lb chi masters If he had studied Judo, Muay Thai ,or Jiu Jitsu I bet he would have been decent.

I have generally been under the impression that a lot of the Chinese mysticism is based on fact but under a different name.

My old Kung Fu intsructor talked about the 'astral line' or something and he openly equated it to 'keep your balance'. I have read some Feng Shu books that talk about Chi flow through a room and it equated this to a more meaningful context - many people prefer placing chairs that don't face away from a door because people generally like to see who enters a room etc. I seem to recall they had several farming scenerios that descibed the same effect - I will try and look the book up for any interested parties.

I think that alot of the core concepts around this subject are based in reality and I have no problem if someone wants to use the phrase 'Chi' instead of 'Physical Energy' if that is the agreed definition for your training. The main problem with this is that without sufficiant agreement telling someone to "Put more Chi into it!!!" loses any meaning.

Ignoring the issue with calling something by a different name just to sound a bit cooler or more mysterious - the main problem is when a practitioner or teacher doesn't understand this (or wants to exploit it for cash from suckers) and starts talking about Chi projections with demonstrations from their eager, compliant students.

My own experience with WC has been that this kind of talk is not usual. This guy has a history of this kind of talk whatever style he is showing, he was a bit of a 'player' in the ' internal arts ' scene and this is his spin..be it WC or Taiji or Chi gung..

I've had some chunner friends and I've even visited a Wing Chun club; I've never seen anything like this as part of WC before. Is this just one wacko, or is there a significant chunk of the chunner community that really buys into telekinesis as a part of the art?

He's not just a chunner, he has great mystical insight into the energetic matrix underlying and enfolding reality...duh.

Once the "ions" explanation starts at about 2:05 in...the "Energy Bubble"...hoo boy.

What the hell is it with chunners and their attempts to use physics to justify their crap assed fighting skills? And even in the case of physics does anyone else find it strange they skip the relatively basic F=MA and go straight to fucking negatively charged ions? Fucking ions?

    Chunners...

He's not deluded imo, he is deluding others tho. People want to believe in this shit.
He jumped on the llama train at about the time Tibetan buddhism ( especially Dzogchen) was becoming the 'in' thing in the UK spiritual scene..probably not coincidental. Could be wrong but my cynicism knows almost no bounds regarding people like him.

Why would people feel differently about this phenomenon now?

Have you introduced yourself in newbietown? (manners)

What are your multiple "Chi based" martial arts?
