Ha thank you for that one Larus. Thought I'd heard it somewhere, always thought John was a pretty nice guy and a good actor. As for the JCVD/Dolph fight thing, yeah I'd heard that too though never watched the youtube vid and got the info from reading over the internet so... Not the most reliable way of getting info.

I believe its a good possibility that this may be the case regarding the recent Segal movies though my honest take on the matter, which may come off as a little childish, is that Segal uses body doubles to hide the weight problems in his movies.

Though honestly I couldn't tell you, I haven't watched many Segal movies but of the personal thoughts on the fellow. I'm just going by what I watched in those vid reviews which, again, I recommend checking out as they have a few chunks of trivia on the fellow and his dealings.

Re: John Leguizamo - these may have been posted before in this monstrosity of a thread. Or not.

As for walking doubles, the impression I get is that SS's DTV movies are shot in a hurry, the producers won't pay for reshoots with the stars and they don't always manage to get all the footage they need when Seagal is there. Not that he can't walk or get out of a car, or whatever (he obviously can). He can also still do fight scenes when he wants to (though slower and fatter) - see Renegade Justice for a recent example.

The JCVD/Dolph fight rumour was a publicity stunt. Both say it never actually happened - they were asked about it around the time that the most recent Unisol movie came out. Dolph was amused that people still believed it. The interview was on YouTube back then...

Well that was a good read if you don't mind me saying. Enjoyed quite a lot of it. Not a big fan of Segal, always thought he was a prick and I've heard of a few actors refusing to work with him and I think a few film companies wont have him anymore though my information may be off.

I did read John Leguizamo say that he was a bit of a diva, though I read this on wikipedia years ago and I think the comment as been taken down so that comments legitimacy may be more than questionable.

However there's plenty of stuff up online about what he did to his ex wife Kelly Brookes (I think) and well with the info read here I'd say the fellow is a bit of a nob.

Also, there's a few vids on the TGWTG website where one of the sites many reviewers (film brain) had a Steven Segal month and reviewed some of his recent movies keeping a count how often he'd used a sound a like to dub him over and stunt men for the fighting, walking... anything that requires physical exertion. Maybe you guys and galls should give them a look for more Segal fun.

As for JCVD I heard a rumor a while back that he'd slapped a make artist while doing Universal Soldier, he and Dolph apparently got into a fight about it to. So if that rumor is true, I'd say JCVD isn't innocent. Also, wasn't he booted from the set of Predator for purposely hitting a stunt man... Not sure about that one neither but I had read it somewhere on the internet (obviously the most valid source of info :P) However as said by many-a-member here he did have a legit career in martial arts, he did fight and looking at his record he was pretty good at it.

Also I thought the movie JCVD was pretty much his apology for his poor behavior in the past so if that is true... I guess he at least acknowledges it and seems to regret some of his actions.

Yeah, it's kinda annoying when people still believe that JCVD is a former ballet dancer pretending to be a martial artist, wheras Seagal is the real deal 'cause he was a Green Beret/Navy SEAL/CIA black ops in Vietnam, trained directly under Ueshiba, he fought in deathmatches against the Yakuza, went on to create the H2H fighting system for the US special forces, etc. (I suppose that you can add on 'taught MMA fighters how to kick' now).

The man had fights. If only he'd already had the cool van fuckin pseudonym, already in effect, everyone would know that.

Bloodsport > anything Seagal did. IMO.

EDIT: except for Glimmer Man, that horrendous dull-spoon-lobotomy of a movie takes the cake. The grand cow pat prize, if you will.

Heard this confirmed by David Lee Roth himself in an interview. It was done to confirm if the rider was actually read. It's turned into one of those rock star legends like Frank Zappa drinking a jar of spit from the audience or the Richard Gere "gerbil" story.

Lol. Thanks. Yeah, under all that, it seems pretty reasonable. I couldn't really imagine Iggy & co. being the type to swagger in, demanding to be treated like kings.
